Data ethics & boundaries

Every feed ingested by ourwrld is public, lawfully obtained, and credit-attributed.

The platform proxies open OSINT only; /api/public/* routes are read-only and respect each upstream's rate limits and terms of service.

Hard boundaries

No paywall circumvention
Flightradar24 and other paywalled or contractually private aggregators are out of scope. Aviation is built on public ADS-B mirrors only.
No private imagery
Satellite tasking, commercial high-resolution archives and any imagery a provider considers private are not used. Basemaps are Bing or Natural Earth II.
No personal tracking
Named individuals are never tracked. Vehicle plates surfaced by ALPR datasets are not linked to identities, and the platform does not accept person-resolution queries.
No session profiling
Operator sessions are not persisted, profiled, or sold. No account is required; nothing you click is retained on the server beyond a request log retained for abuse defence.

Attribution

Source attribution rides with every entity. If a dataset requires a visible credit (OpenStreetMap, GDELT, USGS, CelesTrak), it's surfaced in the inspector and reproduced in any export.
